A Warm Welcome at the Universität Stuttgart!
With our Orientation Program we would like to make your first steps in Stuttgart easier:
In group sessions we will help you with the formalities, explain the German university system and provide tips for living and studying in Stuttgart. Experienced students will also offer study counselling for you and the program concludes with an excursion.
Please note that this Orientation Program is offered to students who arrive in April and October respectively and who do not participate in an intensive German course.
You will be welcomed by the staff of the Office of International Affairs (IA) and by student tutors of the Universität Stuttgart at the International Centre (Internationales Zentrum/IZ).
The Orientation Program takes place in the week before lectures begin (->Academic Calendar) and is concluded with a one-day excursion.
Date of our next Orientation Programs at the IZ for students who do NOT participate in a preparatory intensive German course:
Winter semester 2008/09:
Tuesday, October 13 to Friday, October 16, 2009
We recommend that you arrive not later than October 13 in Stuttgart.
Summer semester 2008:
Thursday, April 15 to Friday, April 16, 2010
We recommend that you arrive not later than April 9 in Stuttgart.
Registration for the orientation program including group sessions, study counselling and excursion at the IA in person upon arrival:
Tuesday to Thursday 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 1.30 to 4.00 pm
Participation fee for the excursion: 15 EUR (please pay cash)
